The Great Book Swap

Support the Indigenous Literacy Foundation at Our Great Book Swap!

We’re excited to once again host a Great Book Swap during Once Upon a Festival which will take place on 29th – 30th October, all in support of the incredible work of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF).
The ILF is a national, Community led charity providing culturally relevant books and literacy resources to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander remote Communities. They also help Communities create and publish their own stories in the languages that matter most to them.

How the Great Book Swap Works

Festival goers can choose a book they love from our swap tables and make a gold coin donation to the ILF. It’s a simple, joyful way to celebrate reading and support literacy in remote Communities.
